2025 Srixon ZXi-RKT Drivers: Everything We Know So Far

The USGA conforming list got its Monday refresh, and the headline addition this week is the new Srixon ZXi-RKT driver lineup. Let’s dig into what’s confirmed, what we’re guessing, and why this release might actually matter for Srixon.

So What Does “RKT” Mean?

Honestly? Srixon isn’t saying much. But the branding almost certainly points to some kind of face technology upgrade. Based on what’s happening across the industry right now, the most likely options are:

  • A thinner, hotter face for more ball speed
  • A lot more carbon fiber in the build (which would solve another problem — more on that in a second)
  • A nano-coating similar to what Mizuno rolled out this season

We won’t know for sure until Srixon pulls back the curtain, but the USGA listing confirms these clubs are real and on the way.

The Three Models Broken Down

Pictures are already floating around online, so here’s what the ZX-RKT lineup is shaping up to look like:

ZXi-RKT Standard — The all-around option. Two moveable weights sit deep in the back of the head so you can lean into a draw or fade bias. Design-wise, it looks like a natural evolution of the current model.

ZXi-RKT LS (Low Spin) — This is the speed model. Those two moveable weights shift from side-to-side to a front-to-back setup, pushing weight forward for lower spin and a touch of fade bias. This one will almost certainly be the ball speed king of the lineup.

ZXi-RKT Max — Maximum forgiveness. The moveable weights are gone entirely, replaced by fixed weight deep in the back for high launch and as much MOI as possible.

Four more models also snuck onto the USGA list — probably later releases or tour-only stuff.

The One Thing Srixon Really Needs to Fix

If you hit the previous ZXi drivers, or swung them at the PGA Show, you already know what I’m about to say. The performance was there. The looks were there. The sound was absolutely not there. It was easily the loudest driver I hit that year, and not in a fun, powerful way. Just loud.

The thing is, carbon fiber is one of the best ways to quiet a driver down, and this new model looks like it’s packing a lot more of it. If Srixon has genuinely addressed the acoustics, that removes the biggest reason people talked themselves out of buying one.

Can Srixon Actually Win People Over in the Driver Category?

When most golfers think about buying a new driver, Srixon isn’t the first name that comes to mind. It’s the same situation Mizuno has been in forever. Great irons, great wedges, great balls — but drivers are a different conversation.

When you’re not the automatic choice, you’ve got two moves: go cheap (not happening at this price point) or be so good that people can’t ignore you.

The encouraging part is that Srixon has genuinely improved every single year since Dunlop Sports went all-in on the brand. The irons are legitimately excellent. The balls are now widely respected. The wedges are underrated. The drivers have been the missing piece.

If the RKT fixes the sound and backs it up with real performance numbers, this could quietly be one of the better driver releases of the year. Can’t wait to get one in hand and find out.
