The Tour Edge Hot launch series has always been a very exciting release to me. Its a lineup that provides a golfer the opportunity to get custom fit for their clubs without a HUGE premium. We in the golf equipment industry constantly encourage people to get custom fit for clubs and Tour Edge while not providing a tour level fit will allow customers to get fit without the massive upcharge! The Hot Launch series has usually been one set of clubs but this year Tour Edge decided to split the line up into a super game improvement line and a regular game improvement line up.

Hot Launch E521
To start the E stand for Extreme Game Improvement. This is more than regular game improvement its extreme! Now how does Tour Edge take this from regular to extreme? The first and most recognizable aspect is the new Houdini Sole. The sole looks like it was almost folded in half and has a crease in it. What does this do? This allows the Center of Gravity to be pin pointed low and back which will help the target market for these clubs, slow to mid swing speed players, get the ball in the air much more effectively.A ton of these players also struggle hitting the ball fat and the Houdini sole will help with that. Another part of the technology in the woods is the heel side weight. This will help those higher handicaps get the club face to close easier. The E Series irons are hollow body hybrid like irons. The are wide sole fat irons with a ton of offset. Are they the prettiest irons in the world? No not even close but these clubs are perfect for the market they are targeting.

Hot Launch C521
The C521 is what Tour Edge is calling the “competition” line. The C lineup is for the player who is a little pickier in the looks of their clubs. Everything is slimmed down. The Houdini sole disappears. Instead of putting the weight in the hell they have moved it to a low and back position. The increases the MOI and will help with the forgiveness of the club. The low and back position also helps increase launch and spin. The C series also features less offset than the E series. In no way am I trying to say this has little offset. It has PLENTY. The face of the driver is also much deeper than the E series. The Tour Edge Exoctics line up has incorporated what they call diamond face technology. The C series allows golfers to get that The irons are also much more traditional shape than the E series. These irons are a very traditional looking Game Improvement iron.

Final Thoughts
If I am being 100% honest the looks of these clubs could use a little bit of work. The blue, black and white are great but it doesnt have a premium look. With that being said though this driver costs 229 dollars. At that price you wont get adjustments or carbon fiber but you will get a good driver that can be fit for shaft length and flex. On top of that its delivered in 2 days. The Fairway wood will run you 149.99. The Hybrid will cost 129.99, and the irons will cost 69.99 a piece. That comes out to 560 dollars for a full 8 pcs set. Its an incredible deal and one I think new golfers and budget minded golfers will love.
