This week out on the Korn Ferry Tour Golfwrx spotted the newest driver from Srixon. A few months ago we saw a whole slew of drivers on the USGA conforming list and have just been waiting to see them in the flesh. Well now we have one and it s time to WILDLY speculate about the tech that we can see.

Rebound Frame
Its not too far off base to assume it is going to be the top technology in the driver this year. It is plastered on the face and on the back end of the club as well. Like I said earlier I am wildly speculating but I would think this is an internal structure that helps support the face. This will help get max ball speeds across the entire face. Callaway has Jailbreak which was two bars right behind the face which allowed ball speeds to jump up. The sole of the driver has some weird shapes which makes me think it is the outline of the technology in the driver. The other big clue that the design on the bottom is the outline is the fact the other 2 drivers have the same outline. I think its a smart move when companies show their technology. Callaway has the bars showing on the sole of all of their drivers. Taylormade has the screws on their faces so they can tell the story of the Speed Injection. Its a smart move.

Moveable weights
Their is one huge massive change that most people wont notice but it feels like a big deal to me. Srixon’s weights are FINALLY moving to the star shape. For YEARS Srixon drivers have been cursed with a square wrench. It required its own wrench and frankly Srixons wrench sucked. Im so happy to see this change. With that being said the design looks the same and I wouldnt be surprised if past weights wouldnt work here

Overall Looks
I personally am a huge fan of Red White and Black.I think the bottom of the club isnt the prettiest but I believe it is a way for them to show the customer the technology underneath the hood. If their displays are well thought out it could be a big winner. They also did a great job on the crown of the driver. Nice and clean black crown with the carbon fiber showing through.
Final Thoughts
The last Srixon driver was a bit spinny for me. It felt great and checked off most of the boxes except the distance. I had to go with Cobra but once I hear more about this club it will be tested and possbily put in the bag. There isnt anything in this driver that would prevent me from testing it out!
