Fathers Day is in a week and if youre like most people all Dad told you he wanted was to be left alone and to watch golf on Sunday. He may even just ask to go play golf. My wife works for a church and we always laugh about church attendance on Fathers day. Its always low.
I also know you want to get Dad something. I can also tell you as a golfer we all get the same lame ass gifts that people think golfers like. Everything from shitty golf balls we wont use to weird training aids. If there is one thing that will drive Dad crazy is wasting your money on something he wont use. Ive also seen a bunch of these gift guides that suggest some $10K watch or a jacket that is 250 bucks. This will give you gifts ideas from $50, $100, $150, and $200,. These will be gifts your Dad will want to use.

SIC was at the PGA Show this year. While I wasnt able to set up a meeting they did send me a custom logo tall can coozie. I am not the biggest user of this item in my house because I dont really use tall cans but my wife loves it. It keeps beers cold for a long time. SIC also offers a double insulated cup as well. If dad isnt a skinny can guy on the course I can almost bet he drinks something on the course and a cool golf ball textured glass could be the answer!
2. Titleist Pure Touch Golf Glove ($30)

My gift giving philosophy is to buy someone something they would never buy themselves. If your Dad is anything like me he uses a glove he likes perfectly fine but he wouldnt mind seeing if the 30 dollar glove is worth it. He walks by it in its fancy packaging but could NEVER pull the trigger for himself. 30 dollars for a glove?!?! I could never! These are just as good and they are 15! Buy him the super fancy glove. Why not? Also quick tip, If he swings right handed buy him a left handed glove. Its weird but trust me. For sizing go grab his glove when he isnt looking. Its typically on the inside under the velcro.

I thought about a dozen golf balls here but that is honestly a pretty personal choice. Us golfers have a golf ball we like and tend to stick with it. Instead of the balls I went with Titleist team hat. They offer them in MLB and NCAA logos. Im sure you know Dads favorite team. Grab him a hat with that favorite team and Im sure itll be a winner! The Titleist hat is a classic and with a teams logo it goes next level!

I have the older version of this percussion massager and absolutley love it. If Dad has some aches and pains after a round or sits at a desk all day, this thing is awesome. With 6 different massaging heads the possibilities for relief are endless. Bonus for YOU here. You can also use it. Hell I bought mine for myself and my wife is usually using it before me every night.
2. PGA Tour Superstore Membership ($100)

I have said this on the podcast and in the blog. This membership is one of the best values in golf hands down. The biggest selling point is the unlimited 30 minute indoor range sessions on their simulators. Its a nice way to practice when the weather isnt great. It also saves money vs heading to the range which can add up. In addition to that awesome befit you get 30 regrips a year. If Dad is a chronic grip changed or club buyer this could save some money as well. In my podcast about getting your clubs ready for the season I really leaned on this membership!
3. Eye Line Speed Slot 2.0 ($100)
I know I kind of cheated by including an item on sale but at 100 bucks I may be getting one for myself. Everything I have heard about this training aid has been very positive. I have seen people work with it and have some good success. Eye Line makes high quality products and this one should be a winner for Dad.

Puma Golf shoes are always good. They really bring the comfort and the performance. Help dad upgrade his on course look. There are a lot of things that bring confidence to a golfer and looking good is one for sure. As the old saying goes “Look good, Play good”. Help dad Look good so he can play his best!
2. Cleveland ZipCore Wedge ($149)

Its the wedge I use. Its an awesome wedge. It feels great and Dad is sure to love it! We could all use a new wedge to dial in that short game. Tip to make sure you buy the right thing go out and find his golf bag. Find the shortest club that isnt a putter and see what the numbers are on the bottom. Go buy that one. If it says 58/10 go buy that combo. You dont need to know what they mean…. Dad knows! Also keep the receipt in case you get it wrong!
3. Bushnell Wingman GPS ($130)

This is honestly one of the coolest things ive seen on the course in a while. Its a Bluetooth speaker with an integrated GPS. All it takes is one button push and it will ready out the yardage to the center of the green. I played with someone who had it and the sound quality was really good. Highs were crisp and bass was low. It blew my mind the first time they hit the button. Really nice piece of technology that Dad will love.
Gifts under $200

I have one sitting in my office. It rolls true. I love mine. You can read my review of the BirdieBall here. Purchasing for this for Dad is a winner. I wish I had more to say but this is the best putting green on the market and frankly in my opinion its not even close for the price.
2. Shot Scope V3 GPS and Performance Golf Watch ($199)

This one came in just under the limit but this could be the biggest game changer on the list. The watch comes with like tabs Dad puts in the back end of his clubs and the watch measures every shot Dad hits. This is huge if Dad is really trying to get better. I will be honest I use Shot Scopes competitor on my clubs but I love the concept. Im able to see how far I actually hit the ball. It also helps me diagnose the parts of my game that are struggling. It takes out the guess work in improving.
3. Precision Pro NX7 Range Finder ($199)

I have an older version of this rangefinder. It works just as well as a 500 dollar rangefinder. I have compared it to much more expensive rangefinder and the results are within a yard of each other! In addition to the great performance they warranty the batteries for life. Its an awesome idea and gives a nice piece of mind.
There you go! Here are a bunch of options better than the golf grill set you were considering. Remember dont waste your money on something Dad will never use. That will piss him off more than anything!
